Before the trip, went to Willy's house to play mahjong through the night. Then we headed to take a coach to Malaysia in the morning. We reached KL in about 5 hours time plus interval and all then cabbed to our apartment. The apartment is totally big, nice and cosy. Bunk in with daphne, jx, rey, zk and mark. I got a single bed assigned all to myself with daphne as my room mate, however, apparently someone came to raid our room.
This trip is all about SHOPPING! But the guys ate a lot cos' there nothing much for the guys to shop and they ended up eating all the time. Haha.
Day 1 was Times Square and we combed the top few levels without touching the basement with all the good shops and its already times up. Sad sad sad. After that went to meet the guys and we split into 2 groups again. We went to this hawker and had our noodles. Its like very good as compared to our lousy lunch. Then we went to Federal Hotel to get the tolietries bag + charger which muddle headed gabriel left behind 2 days ago. Then which headed back to our apartment for zk's 20th birthday celebration! No longer a teenage! HAHA.
Day 2, went swimming with the girls in the morning. Our initial plan was to go to the sauna but its broke down. The guys staying in my apartment whom we call them the commandos with them waking up at 7am to visit the gym while the other guys from the other apartment who are the clerks and cooks only woke up when we finish our swim. After that late in the morning, we took a shuttle service to MidValley. This shopping mall is seriously too big. The girls took 4 hours and we only combed half of the level 1. Scary right? The guys already slacking and waiting for us at the meeting point and we requested for time extention. Haha. I would say MidValley is one of the best shopping mall in KL. After that went to eat zhi char at Chinatown and its not bad, quite affordable also. Then we went on a top grade counterfeit shopping spree. I didn't buy much though, only got a silly sunglasses which I bargain so hard from RM22 to RM10. Then its back to apartment with horror movie. But I would think its boring movie with me dozing off half the time. Haha.
Day 3, last minute shopping. We really shop till the very last minute. Haha. Then coached back to Singapore.
Some interesting encounter in KL was the taxi. Because our group is quite big so we always need 4 cabs. However, the fare for the 4 cab ALWAYS differ a lot. I guess its very much on luck. I took a cab from MidValley back to our apartment for RM22 while it cost the rest only RM8. But when I took a cab from our apartment to Chinatown it only cost me RM3.50 while the rest paid RM15 for it. Its about taking the cab with a meter or without a meter. Usually if we take a cab without a meter, they overcharge. But my trip back from MidValley, our cab was on meter. But apparently, the meter jump so fast la. Don't know whats wrong.
Its really a wonderful trip.
