I was away in Vietnam! Vietnam feels a little like Cambodia. It was a nice family trip. =) The number of motorbikes there is scary! Theres a lot of skills needed in crossing the roads! haha.

I went to the Caodai temple which they practice caodaism which comprises of the teaching of various religion such as buddhism, christianity, taoism etc. I always thought all religions are stand alone. Haha.

I am really amazed and impressed by the Cuchi tunnel and I even went in to experience it which I have to duck walk the whole time I'm in there. I wonder how those people in the past lived in there.

Dad coming out from the tunnel!
There's also reunification palace where the north vietnam and south vietnam used to hold meetings and all in there. Its some sort like the korean war. Theres also the war museum where they pictured the sufferings of the people during the war. Its really depressing to see how people are being tortured and being disregarded as human during the war.
After which we went to watch water puppet which is well-known in vietnam. Its really interesting and beautiful. They are really good at controlling with the strings. Its much better than puppet shows.

Then its to Mekong River! The one same river I went to in Cambodia! Haha. Walked the trails, ate fruits, drank honey that tasted like longan, see the production of coconut sweets and took a horse ride and sampan boat ride. So kampong lifestyle. Haha.

Oh I've to mention, the Chinatown is so messy and crowded and scary. Cos people just push anyhow with all the heavy stuff that they're carrying. Haha. We also went to Ben Thanh Market the Beef pho and ice dessert is really nice although the level of hygiene is way below standard. Theres also this "cooking beef on roof tile" dish at one of the hawker.
Its a happy trip. How i wished theres just an extra day to walk around the central square and do some shopping!
